We will speak out to the wind When we begin, and we begin And solace the crowd when they are raging And sole as the crowd and single them out And sing out to them And sing along what they will not hear or understand And we the sound And stitch up our vocals one by one And hang them on a line to dry And try if one can get along With consonants when they are dried And hang around with ups and downs And shaking like the wind And hung up to dry on a line And dripping drops in awkward rhythm Like faces crying

Dear companion Why did you have to leave Little scenes above in the light Were just a dream So the darkness and the mud Are our reality To which I speak I have seen it all before This waiting's what we're waiting for Dear silent friend The room in which I am trapped Is made of massive bone These voices haunting me In such a dreadful tone Tell me every second I am all alone I can't go on, I'll go on No more use for other names Every Abel gets his Cain I must not be forgetting: Every saying is inventing And if this world is our black hearse

Demolition 03:01
We spat on passengers from the rooftops of our vanity And every wall would echo back our profanity We spread lies like “love will last forever” Like “we don't die”, like “best friends never sever” Let's pretend each war we fight is an inevitable duty And a globalized world revolves with much more beauty And on we march by our pretty definitions Through this slough with reeks of demolition Say it pays out in the end

Friend, the shades are always drawn No light will bleach black thoughts No sound keeps company when you're with yourself And yet the morning broods Cold tentacles against your window pane It's a pain No more journeys left for a traveling mind That's past the last frontier, a million miles from here The exile's permanent for someone who has got A kingdom in his head with no army at his hand (No army at command) Awake in the time of sleep A dream is burning down the palisades of truth And nothing's happening
5.
Recess 04:07
All the world's in quarantine now The hours wind up minutes to more hours The warm mud and all that it devoured Burnt black boughs beneath bright snow Now desolation drags behind us Like a bloodhound on a chain Let's renovate the last few remains The cell membranes around our nucleus Words don't seem to express all that they should And music's never more than a plain jingle But our fleeting shadows sometimes mingle In a way that our bodies never could If life's a fool's tale meaning nothing Full of fury and of sound We'll sit and we'll listen to it spellbound We will dance and we will sing And we will celebrate mankind's fall The apple that has made our drunken minds sober And will we say when it's all over That we've had fun at the famous carnival?
